Entries open for

ENTRIES are now open for one of the Australia’s top swim events, the Danger Ocean Swim Series on the Surf Coast.

The event will return for its 26th edition on January 4, 2025 at Point Danger in Torquay.

Swimmers will compete in four different race lengths – 500m, 1000m, 2.5km and the ultimate 5km race.

A Danger Dash wade event will also be run for children aged 6-12 years old.

Jan Juc SLSC president Brett Thompson said excitement was high for the return of the popular summer event.

“Its a major fundraiser for the club and helps us raise important funds to keep our life saving services on the beach."

“The club can only put on this event with the support and hard work of our volunteer members who do a great job in delivering the event and providing water safety.

“In 2024, there were over 1000 swimmers on the day, and we hope to have even more swimmers in the water in 2025.”

Since its inception in 1999, the event has raised more than $450,000 for the Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club.
